The future
The future is the place where we all will live the rest of our lives and, of course, we wish that everything in it should be better or at least not worse. The above description is similar to the tasks of a trade union: to simultaneously see to it that the fort be held, keep watch over past successes and lay the foundations for new advances.Historically, the mission has been unambiguous and clear: Away with injustices and class discrimination, turn around the general view of work and workers by 180 degrees and lay the foundation for a sound and just point of view. The worst forms of injustice, we have relegated to the dustbin of history, at least those who were based on a distinction between people. It is reasonable to state, that employers and employees today stand on an equal ground, but that we still have different views about how the result of our work be divided between those who own the capital and we whose work bring it about.
However, the future would be dull if it did not offer new challenges, and, maybe, this is the biggest one from a trade-union point of view. The Painters' Union has prepared itself for the task: we have taken on the latest development of IT, we have set up the goals, and we are directing the organization in a way that, in all essentials, benefits a sharp goal-oriented sphere of activities. We continually sharpen in all ways our trade-union professionalism in order to ensure that the future belong to us - and we wish you as a member a warm welcome to the journey into the future!
